IIT Jodhpur, established in 2008 as one of the second-generation IITs, has rapidly distinguished itself among the newer IITs through a bold commitment to research-driven education, interdisciplinary innovation and sustainability. Situated in the Thar Desert, the campus itself is a statement of design and environmental ambition — featuring solar-powered infrastructure, passive cooling architecture and green building principles that respond to the harsh Rajasthan climate.
