AIIMS Jodhpur

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur is a premier autonomous medical institution of national importance established by the Government of India in 2012 under the AIIMS Act. One of six new AIIMS established in the second phase of national expansion of premium medical education, AIIMS Jodhpur is dedicated to providing the highest standard of medical education, clinical training and biomedical research to serve western Rajasthan and the nation. The institute offers MBBS, MD, MS, M.Sc, B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Allied Health Sciences and PhD programmes, providing a complete spectrum of health sciences education. AIIMS Jodhpur operates a large tertiary care hospital that serves patients from Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat and neighbouring states, handling complex cases in cardiology, neurosurgery, oncology, gastroenterology and other super-specialties. The institute has rapidly built research capacity with nationally and internationally funded projects in areas including desert medicine and heat-related illness, snake bite management, trauma care, rare diseases of Rajasthan and telemedicine for rural outreach. Faculty at AIIMS Jodhpur include distinguished clinicians, scientists and educators who are committed to the triple mandate of education, research and service. The campus, located near Basni industrial area in Jodhpur, is being developed with state-of-the-art facilities including modern OPDs, ICUs, operation theatres, simulation labs, a skills laboratory for clinical training, a medical library and student hostels. AIIMS Jodhpur has also pioneered digital health initiatives and conducts outreach camps in rural and tribal areas across western Rajasthan, embodying its commitment to equitable healthcare access.
