Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur is one of India's 31 National Institutes of Technology and a premier public engineering institution in central India. Established in 1960 as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering and granted NIT status in 2002, VNIT is named after the legendary engineer Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Spread across a lush 223-acre campus in Nagpur, it is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education. VNIT offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, MSc, and PhD programmes across 13 departments including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Chemical, Metallurgical, Mining, Architecture, and more.
