Ranchi University

Ranchi University, established in 1960, is the premier state university of Jharkhand, located in the state capital Ranchi. With a legacy spanning more than six decades, Ranchi University serves as the affiliating university for hundreds of colleges spread across the Jharkhand region, making higher education accessible to students from tribal, rural, and semi-urban communities who form the majority of the state's population.
