About Me

Air India is India's flag carrier, founded by J.R.D. Tata in 1932 as Tata Airlines and returned to the Tata Group in January 2022 after 69 years of government ownership. Under its Vihaan.AI transformation, the airline unveiled a complete rebrand in 2023 (the new "Vista" identity), placed one of the largest aircraft orders in history — 470 Airbus and Boeing jets — merged Vistara into itself in November 2024, and is retrofitting its wide-body fleet with new cabins. Air India operates non-stop long-haul routes connecting India with North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, and with SIA as minority shareholder is rebuilding itself into a world-class full-service global airline.
