DAV College Amritsar, established in 1886, is one of the oldest degree-level educational institutions in Punjab and ranks among the pioneering colleges of undivided India. Founded under the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (DAV) educational movement initiated by Swami Dayanand Saraswati and the Arya Samaj, the college was conceived to provide modern English-medium education integrated with Vedic values and Indian culture. Over its 135-plus-year history, the institution has evolved into a comprehensive liberal arts and science college affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University.
