JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSSAHER), formerly JSS University, is a deemed university in Mysuru, Karnataka, established by the JSS Mahavidyapeetha under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamji. Founded in 2008 as a deemed university (with constituent institutions dating to 1962), JSSAHER holds NAAC A++ accreditation — one of very few deemed universities in Karnataka with this distinction — and NIRF ranking in the top 30 universities. JSSAHER is a comprehensive health sciences and engineering university with JSS Medical College (one of south India's top medical colleges), JSS Dental College, JSS College of Pharmacy (top-5 pharmacy college in India), JSS College of Engineering, JSS College of Arts, Commerce & Science, and JSS Business School. The campus in Mysuru is 250+ acres with integrated hospitals, research facilities, and student residences. JSS Medical College's teaching hospital is a 1,000-bed facility providing healthcare to rural Karnataka. The Pharmacy department is ranked #2 in India by NIRF.
