National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur), established in 1956 as Government Engineering College and elevated to NIT status in 2006, is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and an Institute of National Importance. Accredited with NAAC 'A' and consistently ranked in the top 50 engineering institutions by the NIRF, NIT Raipur is the premier technical institution of Chhattisgarh, serving as a key driver of engineering education and applied research in the state.
