National Stock Exchange of India

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is India's largest stock exchange and the world's largest derivatives exchange by trading volume. Founded in 1992 and headquartered at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, NSE launched electronic screen-based trading in India, bringing transparency and reach to Indian equity markets. It is home to the Nifty 50 benchmark index and the Nifty Bank index — the world's most-traded derivatives contracts — and NIFTY-based products anchor Indian mutual funds, ETFs, and derivatives markets. NSE's NIFTY Indices are the benchmarks for the Indian equity market that hundreds of millions of Indian investors track.
