About Me
1974 AD is Nepal's most iconic rock band, pioneers of Nepali rock and metal music. Formed in Kathmandu in 1994 (despite the seemingly misleading name), they created a distinctive heavy rock sound that spoke directly to Nepali youth culture. Their album Sanjha was a landmark in Nepali music, and songs like Nischal Bhaye and Maya Garna Jhan Gardeu have become generational anthems. They opened doors for rock music in Nepal's mainstream entertainment landscape.
