Verification Standards

EaseOfBiz is a publisher of verified professional records. This page describes how records on the platform are created, sourced, verified, and corrected. It is intended as a reference for journalists, researchers, brands, and anyone citing an EaseOfBiz profile as a professional source.

The three verification tiers

Every credit, project entry, and professional claim on EaseOfBiz carries one of three verification tiers. The tier is displayed on the relevant record and is never hidden or inferred — it is always stated explicitly.

Transaction Verified

The highest confidence tier. A Transaction Verified credit means a real paid booking was completed between two parties on EaseOfBiz. The booking is timestamped, both parties are on record, and the credit is immutable — it cannot be edited or removed by either party after the transaction is confirmed. This tier is assigned by the platform, not by the user.

Source: EaseOfBiz platform transaction data (WooCommerce completed order + booking confirmation).

Confidence: Highest. First-party, timestamped, tamper-proof.

Enriched

Sourced from authoritative public records. EaseOfBiz uses Wikidata as its primary enrichment source. Wikidata is operated by the Wikimedia Foundation and licensed CC0 — the equivalent of public domain. Enriched credits contain only factual, citable information: project title, year, role, and where available, production details. No editorial opinion, no sentiment, no interpretation is added.

Where a Wikidata QID is the source of a credit, it is stored as provenance with the record. Year-match verification is applied before any enriched credit is staged — title collisions across years are explicitly guarded against.

Source: Wikidata (wikidata.org), CC0 licence. QID stored as traceable provenance per credit.

Confidence: High for factual credits. Verify year and QID if precision is critical.

Self-Reported

Submitted by the profile owner. EaseOfBiz does not independently verify self-reported claims. They are displayed as submitted and labelled as Self-Reported on every credit. The platform owner takes responsibility for their self-reported data under the EaseOfBiz Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.

Source: Profile owner submission.

Confidence: Unverified. Verify independently before relying on self-reported claims for editorial or research purposes.

What we verify and what we do not

We verify: that a booking transaction was completed on the platform (Transaction Verified); that a Wikidata record exists, matches by title and year, and has a valid QID (Enriched).

We do not independently verify: self-reported project credits, role descriptions, biographies, taglines, social follower counts, or any other self-submitted professional claims. These are user representations, not platform attestations.

Sources

Wikidata — wikidata.org. The free knowledge base operated by the Wikimedia Foundation. All Wikidata content used on EaseOfBiz is licensed CC0 (public domain, no restrictions on reuse). QID references are stored with each enriched credit as traceable provenance. Corrections to Wikidata-sourced data can be made directly at wikidata.org by anyone.

EaseOfBiz transaction data — platform booking system. Completed paid orders generate Transaction Verified credits. The order record, timestamp, buyer identity, and seller identity are all retained. Transaction Verified credits are immutable by design.

Corrections and disputes

To report an inaccurate credit or profile claim, write to [email protected]. We will acknowledge within 7 business days and aim to resolve within 30 days. We follow the grievance process required under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Self-reported content: if we confirm a self-reported claim is materially inaccurate following review, we will label it disputed or request removal from the profile owner.

Enriched content: corrections to Wikidata-sourced data should first be made at wikidata.org. Notify us at [email protected] after the Wikidata correction is live and we will re-enrich the affected record.

Transaction Verified credits: immutable by design. A dispute regarding a Transaction Verified credit must be raised via the booking dispute process in your Studio account.

Data rights

To exercise your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) — access, correction, or erasure of your personal data — write to [email protected]. We will respond within 90 days. If your concern is not resolved, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

For GDPR requests (EU/UK users), write to the same address. We will route your request under the applicable framework.

Using EaseOfBiz records as a source

Every public EaseOfBiz profile is a permanent, Google-indexed URL accessible without login. Journalists, researchers, and brands may reference and link to any public profile. When citing a credit, note its verification tier — Transaction Verified and Enriched credits can be cited with high confidence; Self-Reported credits should be independently verified before publication.

Attribution: cite as “EaseOfBiz” with a link to the relevant profile or project URL.
