Welcome to EaseOfBiz (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We operate a professional identity, service commerce, and collaboration graph platform. By claiming a handle, creating an account, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EASE OF BIZ, located at 101, Building No. 0399, Ghansoli Gaon, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra India 400701.

1. The Platform and Accounts

1.1. Account Types

EaseOfBiz provides accounts for Creators (individual human professionals, freelancers, and experts) and Brands (companies, agencies, startups, and NGOs). You must select the correct account type during registration. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and offer services.

1.2. The @handle

Your @handle is your permanent professional address on the Platform. Once claimed, it is yours for life, provided you do not violate these Terms. The basic handle and public profile are free forever.

1.3. Anti-Impersonation Policy

Claiming a handle with the intent to impersonate another person, brand, or organisation is strictly prohibited. If we determine that you are squatting on a trademarked name or impersonating a notable figure, your account will be immediately suspended, the handle will be released, and you will be permanently blacklisted from the Platform.

2. The Collaboration Graph & Credits

EaseOfBiz operates a verified collaboration graph. When you tag collaborators on a project, or when a booking is completed, professional credits are generated.

The Immutability Rule: Once a project credit is verified by the tagged party, or automatically verified via a completed financial transaction (booking), it becomes a permanent part of the collaboration graph. It cannot be deleted by either the project owner or the credited professional.

2.1. Ghost Profiles

If you tag a collaborator who is not yet on EaseOfBiz, we may automatically generate a “Ghost Profile” to hold their credits. When that professional joins the Platform and claims their identity, those accumulated credits will transfer to their verified account.

Removal of ghost profiles. If you are a professional who has not registered on EaseOfBiz and do not wish to have a profile on the Platform, you may request removal of your personally identifying information by emailing [email protected]. We will action the request within 30 days. Professional credits verified by two or more registered parties may be retained in anonymised form to preserve the integrity of credit histories — see our Data Deletion Policy for detail. Removal is distinct from claiming: removal deletes your identifying information; claiming transfers ownership of the credits to your verified account.

Data source. Ghost profiles and project credits may be seeded from publicly available databases including Wikidata (released under the Creative Commons CC0 licence) and from credits tagged by registered users. Data sourced from public databases is not self-reported by the subject and accuracy is not guaranteed. To correct an inaccuracy, see our correction path in the Disclaimer.

2.2. Dispute Resolution (The Flag System)

Because verified credits are immutable, disputes over project ownership or credit accuracy must go through our Flag System. If a project or credit receives multiple flags from different authenticated users, it is escalated to our moderation team. We reserve the right to hide or amend records that are proven to be fraudulent or maliciously inaccurate.

3. Commerce and Bookings

EaseOfBiz allows Creators to list services and accept bookings and payments directly through their profile.

3.1. Commission Structure

  • All accounts: We charge a single 10% commission solely on completed bookings.
  • Founding Members (closed cohort): The Founding Member tier is closed to new members. Members who joined during the founding period retain the reduced 5% commission granted at signup, under the terms then in effect.

There are no upfront fees or monthly subscriptions required to list services. The commission is deducted automatically at the time of the transaction.

3.2. Payments and Gateways

Payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (including Cashfree, PhonePe, and PayPal). By accepting bookings, you agree to the terms of service of these respective payment processors. EaseOfBiz is not a bank or a payment gateway, and we are not liable for holds or delays imposed by these third parties.

3.3. Taxes and Compliance

You are acting as an independent contractor. You are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting any applicable taxes (including GST) arising from your services. EaseOfBiz only provides the digital infrastructure to facilitate the booking.

4. Founding Member Tier (Closed)

The Founding Member tier is closed to new members and is no longer offered. During our initial launch phase, users were able to upgrade to a one-time “Founding Member” tier for a fee of ₹199, which unlocked premium features (a Recognised badge, media kit generation, and a reduced commission rate). For members who purchased during that period it was a one-time, non-recurring payment; because it immediately unlocked digital features and badges, the Founding Member fee was strictly non-refundable. Members who joined retain these benefits under the terms in effect at the time of their purchase.

5. Content Ownership and License

You retain full ownership of the text, images, videos, and portfolio items you upload to your profile. By uploading content, you grant EaseOfBiz a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and reproduce your content across the Platform (including in our discovery directory and your auto-generated media kits).

6. Prohibited Conduct

To protect the integrity of the professional graph, you agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform to sell illegal, explicit, or highly regulated goods/services.
  • Create fake projects or tag fake collaborators to artificially inflate your Collaboration Tier.
  • Scrape, data-mine, or extract the collaboration graph data via automated bots.
  • Spam brand briefs or client inboxes with irrelevant applications.

7. Limitation of Liability

EaseOfBiz provides the platform on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EASE OF BIZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising out of your use of the Platform or your interactions with clients/brands found through the Platform.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or compromise the safety of the Platform. Upon termination, you lose access to your handle, and we may reallocate it.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

User responsibility for submitted data

You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information you submit to EaseOfBiz, including profile details, project descriptions, credits, and role information. By submitting information, you confirm that:

(a) The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not misrepresent your professional history, credentials, or affiliations.

(b) You have the right to submit this information and it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

(c) You will not submit false, fabricated, or misleading credits, including crediting individuals for work they did not perform or roles they did not hold.

EaseOfBiz displays self-reported data labelled as Self-Reported and does not independently verify it. The verification tier shown on each credit (Transaction Verified, Enriched, or Self-Reported) indicates the confidence level of that data. EaseOfBiz reserves the right to remove content confirmed to be false following a review.

Press, research, and editorial use of public profiles

Public profiles on EaseOfBiz are permanently citable, Google-indexed professional records. Journalists, researchers, and editorial teams may reference and link to any public profile, subject to the following:

(a) Data is displayed at one of three verification tiers: Transaction Verified (confirmed via a real platform booking), Enriched (sourced from authoritative public records such as Wikidata), or Self-Reported (submitted by the profile owner and not independently verified by EaseOfBiz). Journalists should treat each tier accordingly and verify self-reported claims independently before publishing.

(b) EaseOfBiz is an intermediary platform under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. EaseOfBiz does not endorse, vouch for, or take responsibility for the accuracy of self-reported content.

(c) Attribution to EaseOfBiz with a link to the relevant profile URL is expected when citing a profile as a professional source.

(d) Factual corrections may be submitted to [email protected]. EaseOfBiz will review flagged content under the IT Rules, 2021 grievance process.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of EaseOfBiz is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Nothing in this clause limits rights under mandatory laws of your own jurisdiction, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) or the General Data Protection Regulation (EU), which apply regardless of this clause.
