Community Code of Conduct
The standard of excellence, respect, and integrity expected from every EaseOfBiz member.
1. Core Principles
EaseOfBiz is built on trust. Whether you are a Client investing in your business or a Partner building your freelance career, your behavior impacts the entire community. We expect all users to operate with:
- Professionalism: Treat every interaction as a formal business engagement.
- Transparency: Be honest about your skills, deadlines, and project requirements.
- Respect: Value the time, effort, and diverse backgrounds of your fellow users.
2. Zero Tolerance Policy
To protect our community, certain behaviors will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your account, without warning.
EaseOfBiz actively monitors for and immediately bans users who engage in:
- Harassment & Hate Speech: Abuse based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or nationality.
- Threats & Extortion: Threatening physical/financial harm, or holding deliverables hostage for additional payment or a 5-star review.
- Doxxing: Sharing another user’s private personal information (home address, personal phone numbers) without their explicit consent.
- Illegal Activity: Requesting or offering services that violate local, national, or international laws.
3. Professional Communication
Clear communication is the foundation of a successful project. All users are expected to adhere to the following standards:
- Keep it on Platform: All project discussions must remain within the EaseOfBiz messaging system. This ensures our Trust & Safety team can protect you in the event of a dispute.
- No Spamming: Sending unsolicited promotional messages, repetitive empty messages to artificially boost response rates, or begging for work is prohibited.
- Appropriate Tone: Disagreements happen, but profanity, insults, and aggressive language are unacceptable. If a project is failing, rely on the dispute resolution process, not verbal abuse.
4. Marketplace Integrity
4.1 Authenticity of Work
Partners must solely represent their own original work. Plagiarism, copyright infringement, or using stolen portfolio pieces will result in a permanent ban. If you utilize AI tools to assist in your deliverables, you must transparently disclose this to the Client prior to accepting the order.
4.2 Profile Accuracy
Your profile must accurately represent your identity, location, and credentials. Using fake profile photos, fabricating agency sizes, or misrepresenting your geographic location is a violation of our trust policies.
5. Feedback & Reviews Manipulation
Our review system is designed to provide honest, unbiased feedback. The following attempts to manipulate this system are strictly forbidden:
- Feedback Buying/Selling: Paying for 5-star reviews or creating fake accounts to review your own services.
- Feedback Withholding: Refusing to deliver final, agreed-upon files until a Client leaves a positive review.
- Review Retaliation: Harassing a Client or Partner because they left less-than-perfect feedback.
6. Reporting & Enforcement
Our Trust & Safety team works 24/7 to enforce these standards. If you encounter behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, you must report it immediately.
1. Do not retaliate or engage with the abusive user.
2. Use the “Report User” flag located on their profile or within the order chat.
3. Provide context and let our moderation team review the chat logs. You will remain anonymous to the reported user.
6.1 Consequences of Violations
Depending on the severity of the violation, EaseOfBiz may take the following actions:
- Issue a formal warning and temporary account restriction.
- Cancel active orders and refund the affected party.
- Permanently ban the user and freeze any wallet funds associated with fraudulent or extortive behavior.
