Anand Mahindra

Anand Mahindra is Chairman of the Mahindra Group, the $22-billion Indian multinational with businesses spanning automobiles, farm equipment, IT services (Tech Mahindra), aerospace, hospitality (Club Mahindra), and financial services (Mahindra Finance). Born in 1955 into the family that co-founded Mahindra & Mahindra in 1945, he graduated with honours in film-making and architecture from Harvard College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He led the transformation of Mahindra & Mahindra into India's SUV leader (Scorpio, XUV700, and the electric BE and XEV series), spun off Tech Mahindra as a global IT major after the Satyam acquisition, and drove Mahindra's presence in Formula E racing. Beyond business, he is India's most-followed CEO on X (formerly Twitter), where his posts on Indian ingenuity, cultural moments, and rural innovation reach tens of millions. He received the Padma Bhushan in 2020.
