About Me
Deepak Rauniyar is Nepal's most internationally acclaimed filmmaker, whose films have screened at Venice, Tribeca, and other major international film festivals. His debut White Sun (Seto Surya, 2016) won the Venice Days Audience Award and is Nepal's most celebrated art house film. Drawing on the aftermath of Nepal's Maoist conflict, his humanist storytelling and visual poetry have put Nepali cinema on the world map.
