About Me
Kumar Sangakkara is universally regarded as one of the greatest batters in cricket history and the most complete wicketkeeper-batter the game has ever produced. The Sri Lankan left-hander scored 12,400 Test runs at an average over 57, including a record four consecutive ODI centuries at the 2015 World Cup. He served as President of MCC (2019-20), becoming the first non-British president in the club's 232-year history. A barrister by training, his 2011 Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture is considered the finest ever delivered.
