F1 (2025) is an Apple Original Films production directed by Joseph Kosinski — the director of Top Gun: Maverick — and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton. The film stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a veteran racing driver from the 1990s who is lured back to the sport to mentor a brilliant but arrogant young driver (Damson Idris) on a fictional F1 team called APXGP. What separates F1 from every previous motorsport film is its unprecedented access and authenticity.
