Sony Alpha India — Creator Programme & Documentary Series 2024

Sony Alpha India's 2024 creator programme commissioned 30 of India's leading professional photographers and filmmakers to create a definitive documentary of India through the Sony Alpha 1, ZV-E1, and FX3 camera systems. The 12-episode "Alpha India" documentary series covered subjects ranging from the Rann Utsav in Kutch to the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, the fishing communities of Kerala to the silk weavers of Kanchipuram. Shot entirely on Sony Alpha hardware with native Sony G Master and Cinema Line lenses, the series was the most technically demanding India-specific production commission in Sony's history. The series streamed on Sony LIV and generated 24 million views in its first three months, driving a 45% increase in Sony Alpha camera sales in India year-over-year and winning the FICCI Frames Award for Best Documentary Series 2024.
