Canva Creator India Programme Launch 2024

The India-specific launch of Canva's Creator Programme, enabling Indian graphic designers, illustrators, and photographers to sell their templates and design elements on the Canva Marketplace to 170 million global Canva users. The programme launched with 200 founding Indian Creators selected from over 4,000 applications, spanning illustration styles from Madhubani folk art adaptations to contemporary urban graphics, and template categories from Bollywood wedding invitations to Indian business pitch decks. A 3-day Creator Masterclass in Bengaluru brought together 500 selected creators for workshops on template design principles, marketplace optimisation, and building a passive income business on Canva. Within the first 6 months, Indian Canva Creators collectively earned Rs 2.4 crore in marketplace royalties.
